Carbon Purification Furnace
This is an ultra-high temperature vacuum furnace in which a muffle is installed inside a horizontal or vertical graphite hot zone. Samples of carbon-based materials or parts such as bulk, fiber, and powder are loaded into the muffle and heated to 2,300°C or higher under vacuum or partial pressure control conditions while flowing chlorine or fluorine-based halogen gas. Thereby, by removing impurities in the form of chloride or fluoride, samples shall be highly purified.
